our process

Sud Ouest Système teams are always on hand to assist and guide customers. The technical sales department will examine your specifications or help you to formulate them, and will provide quotations and draw up proposals.

To conduct a more thorough analysis of your needs in terms of the refurbishment, reconstruction, modernisation or development of machine tools or special-purpose machines, the team will visit your production facilities.

Working with the engineering department, this team will then examine and optimise your project to ensure it meets your production requirements, whilst taking your specific considerations into account (facilities, initial equipment, ergonomics, etc.).

Sud Ouest Système will guide you in selecting the machine tool and the configuration that best fits your production requirements.

The company’s size and the way in which it operates means that users can be in direct contact with the manager who is best qualified to cater to their needs.

Whether you are looking for standard machine tools or tailor-made machine tools for high-capacity machining, we are here to help.
A designated project manager assigned to each contract will cater to your machine tool construction or refurbishment needs and will guide you throughout the entire process.

The mechanical and hydraulic engineering office

Our mechanical and hydraulic engineering office will design or refurbish your machine tool based on your specific requirements and production needs:

  • The office will work in accordance with your precise specifications,
  • The design process is carried out using Solid Edge 3D CAD software on six dedicated workstations,
  • The structure is calculated using the finite element method,
  • The department handles risk assessment for CE certification.

Our expertise in the design of special-purpose machines (orbital drilling tool holders, riveting machines, workholding tools, industrial sawing units) is a valuable asset.

Once the mechanical design stage is complete, the engineering office
monitors development to ensure that your machine tool conforms to specifications.

Electrical engineering office

The electrical engineering office designs your project in terms of building the switchgear cabinets, electrical receptacles and cabling required to run the machines.

  • Electrical system design for machine tools and subassemblies,
  • Determining the power supply and protection, high voltage and low voltage,
  • Schematic diagrams, layout diagrams, wiring diagram and bills of materials,
  • We use SEE Electrical Expert software for our engineering processes.

Experienced expert technicians will oversee the installation of your machine tool on your premises.

Automation engineering office

Thanks to its 30 years’ experience in the construction and refurbishment of machine tools, our automation engineering office can take care of:

  • Digital control program design;
  • The optimisation of digital servo motors and automated programs;
  • The development of customised HCI and supervisory software;
  • Program testing using FANUC, NUM and SIEMENS test benches;
  • Connecting machines to the customer’s network.

Automation is optimised to improve the productivity of our customers and industry partners.

Our teams manage the projects, and then assist and train customers.

The Sud Ouest Système automation engineering office promises to deliver optimum results for your machine tools or special-purpose machines.

As soon as your project for machine tool modernisation or construction has been clearly defined and approved, the procurement department will conduct the research required for the project to be carried out.

Sud Ouest Système will then stock itself with the necessary supplies and parts required for the design of your machine tools and special-purpose machines from:

  • Suppliers specialised in structural parts, the machining of mechanical parts and the design of machine guarding;
  • Leading European suppliers of all major components for automation, servo motors, measurement, electrospindles and mechanical components.

Projects are followed-up by an ERP that is optimised for the size of our organisation.

Collaboration with our suppliers is a key part of the manufacturing process of machine tools
and is founded on a balanced, long-term relationship.

Our experienced and trained technicians carry out the assembly, fitting, cabling and adjustment of your machine tools or special-purpose machines in our workshops in Capdenac in the department of Lot, France.

Our specialised teams, which comprise mechanical fitters, cable fitters, and automation specialists, perform the fitting and assembly of subassemblies or entire machines in our workshops. Our switchgear cabinets are built in-house.

Our combinable 12.5- and 10-tonne overhead cranes with 6 metres of hook height facilitate the maintenance and assembly of large-scale machines.

The team will ensure that your machine tool is configured in line with your request for it to be put into operation at your facilities.

Tests are conducted at every assembly stage.

Your machine tool or special-purpose machine will be submitted to the contract manager for initial acceptance at our facilities before being shipped.

For your peace of mind, our teams will take care of the shipping and delivery of your machine tool or high-capacity machine.

This means that they manage all the handling, the protection of the vulnerable components and the packaging of your machine tool before it is loaded onto the vehicle.

Our transport and packaging partners enable us to deliver to customers worldwide.

Our teams, who receive regular training on new technologies, will take care of assembly, cabling, start-up and testing, and can provide training to customers at their production facilities.

Dedicated and trained construction teams install and assemble the machine tools or special-purpose machines at the customer’s premises.

They ensure that the machines are installed in line with best practices and in accordance with all applicable regulations. They also make sure that your machine tool is configured correctly and conduct the necessary tests before putting the machine into operation. Final acceptance takes place between the customer and the contract manager.

We place particular emphasis on user training and maintenance services.

Sud Ouest Système is an authorised training organisation.

A careful and thorough follow-up of the process ensures that your specific machine tools or high-capacity machines are smoothly and effortlessly put into operation.

The after-sales service for new or revamped machine tools is handled by specialised technicians with the help of the appropriate engineering office.

The company’s size and the way in which it operates means that users can be in direct contact with the manager who is best qualified to cater to their needs.

We offer remote maintenance solutions to repair your machine from a distance. These solutions also help to speed up the error diagnosis of your machine, and enable us to prepare the tools and skills required before visiting the premises.

All your questions will be answered and an appropriate solution will be identified that is adapted to suit your needs.
